About the project

"I didn't tell anyone that I had been sick" is a documentation and dissemination project based on personal accounts from stays in Norwegian tuberculosis institutions in the 1950s and 60s.

The project is run by the National Medical Museum, in collaboration with the Bergen City Museum. It is supported by the Norwegian Arts Council, and anchored in their BRUDD network.

Thanks to the University Library in Tromsø and Dag Skogheim for kindly making Skogheim's archive available.

The National Medical Museum is accepting personal accounts from the tuberculosis institutions. Contact the museum by email or telephone: Project Manager Ellen Lange 482 58 183 / Reception 22 79 60 00.
