Everyday Life in
Digitized Worlds
"Everyday Life in Digitalized Worlds" is a conference that explores the dynamics between people and the digital world.
In an age where digital devices are indispensable, they affect our daily lives in ways we may not fully understand. From social media apps to advanced remote sensing, from political mobilization to artificial general intelligence, we are facing changes that challenge our perception of truth and falsehood, privacy and publicness. This has great significance for our democracy, our own identity and where we feel we belong.
This conference concludes the research project Private Lives at the University of Oslo. The project explores everyday life in the digital age and will discuss digital challenges in the Nordics and beyond.
The conference includes keynotes from Professor Hannah Knox, University College London, Dr. Anna-Maria Walter, University of Oulu, and Associate Professor Cathrine Thorleifsson, University of Oslo.
The conference is open to all without a participation fee. Lunch and coffee/tea are available for registered participants, and registered participants also receive free admission to the ICT exhibition I/O and the Privacy Boundaries exhibition at The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology .
