Nuclear power in the age of the climate crisis

Debate

Amphitheatre, 3rd floor

Is nuclear power part of the solution to the nature and climate crisis? Many young and increasingly more political parties are open to considering nuclear power in Norway. An association of Norwegian municipalities has also been formed which sees small-scale nuclear power as interesting for business development. But many are against it or perceive it as unrealistic in Norway. The kind of energy we choose has consequences for climate, nature, daily life and social development. Do we want nuclear power in Norway? Welcome to the debate!

The debate is chaired by Lars Ursin, Norwegian Climate Foundation.

Panelet
Sunniva Siem, professor i kjernefysikk og leder Nukleærsenteret, UiO
Jonas Kristiansen Nøland, forsker, energiteknikk, NTNU,
Lars Borgersrud, historiker/ forfatter
Andreas Sjalg Unneland, stortingsrep., SV
