On September 19th, it's time for LATE! The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology opens its doors in the evening with an exciting program for those over 18 years old.

Play with analog and digital games, participate in workshops and demonstrations, join the debate about artificial intelligence and climate and round off the evening with a quiz. DJ Pavel Plastikk playsin the Airport Hall. In addition to the SENT program, you can also explore Oslo Science Centre and over 25 exciting exhibitions in the rest of the museum.

AI without a computer!

Train an AI to beat you in NIM without using a computer. Together with Jon Haavie from Oslo Science Centre , we explore AI through a simple hands-on activity that illustrates some of the concepts behind machine learning.

Get to know TIAGo, a humanoid robot that will challenge you four times in a row this evening. As usual, the Zone for Experimental Informatics from the Department of Informatics, UiO, is bringing exciting new technology to SENT. Drop in.

Digital twins

What are digital twins and how can they be used to fight cancer? Join systems biologist Eirini Tsirvouli as she talks about her research on digital twins and computer models to treat patients! The presentation will be held in English and is part of the Research Days through a collaboration with the Center for Digital Life (NTNU, UiO, UiB, SINTEF, OUS, NBMU and UiT).

AI - climate solution or climate worsening?

There has been relatively little talk about the climate and environmental costs of using AI, despite much discussion about other challenges since 2022 and the onboarding of the technology began. What role does AI play in the climate crisis? Is it possible in practice to have an environmentally and climate-conscious AI technology and its use?

Join curator Jan Alfred Andersson on a short tour of Energy in the Time of Climate Crisis, where he draws some historical parallels from the history of energy to today's discussions around the regulation of natural resources.
