Birth cafe
On Mother's Day, the National Medical Museum invites you to a birth cafe - a unique opportunity to share your experiences with birth. Together we explore how the birth culture in Norway is and how it can be even better.
Norway is one of the world's safest countries to give birth in, but that does not mean that everything is perfect. How can we improve birth care? To find answers, we need to hear from both parents and grandparents. It is you who have valuable experiences.
Birth cafe is a place for open conversations where we share stories open -minded and learn from each other. The conversations take place in smaller groups around the cafe tables, and the event is open to everyone. Together we work to create an even better birth culture!
The event is led by employees at the National Medical Museum, in collaboration with Dr. Liv Ellingsen from the maternity ward at Rikshospitalet, Oslo University Hospital, and program manager for the podcast series The Women's Health Pod.
