Fits everyone

The Friends' Association invites everyone to Family Sunday at The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology! Explore the Caravellen, experience Halvorsen's workshop, and enjoy a ride on the Ekebergbanen on the mezzanine. In addition, you can visit stands from the Norwegian Radio Relæ Liga, the Norwegian Model and Steam Association, NITO and Tekna. A day full of activities and experiences for all ages awaits!

Family Day is a collaboration between the Friends' Association, The Norwegian Museum Of Science And Technology , Tekna and NITO.

Sand printer

From 7 years

Draw nature in the sand! Be inspired by patterns and symmetry in nature and programs a ball to leave traces in the sand. Meet in Teknolab on the 1st floor.

12.00, 14.00 and 16.00

The Model Railway

Fits everyone

We start one of the museum's model railways. Follow trains and carousels that move! Maybe you'll find Superman and Batman? You can find the model railway by the water wheel in the museum's 3rd floor. You can take the stairs up from the reception.

Illuminating card

From 5 years according to adult, registration at reception

Guess which materials conduct electricity and make a glowing card for someone you love. Sign up at reception. Meet at pillar 7 in the foyer.

The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology at 1-2-3

From 7 years accompanied by an adult

A short and copious round with Mumi Maren and other bypasses' favorites. Fun for small and big. Meet at pillar 6 in the foyer.

Science Show

Suitable for everyone, registration at reception

Playful learning through flames, smoke, loud bangs and exciting experiments. Maybe you'll get hit by a smoke cannon? Suitable for everyone. Meet outside the Auditorium, down the stairs by the café.

14.00–15.00

The roller of the steam road roller

From 7 years accompanied by an adult, registration at reception

Get to know one of our central objects at the museum, namely Dampveivsen, through trial and practice on one of our miniature models. Learn about the function of the water vapor through play! Registration at reception. Meet at pillar 7 of the foyer.

The robot ISAK greets the audience. He is old and can't handle much, but when he feels up to it, he takes a walk to greet visitors.

NB! Children must be accompanied by an adult on all our activities. Some activities have age recommendations, space restrictions and registration. If you are too late for an activity, your place may be given to someone else.
