Collection and gifts

The museum's collection plan sets targets for the development and growth of the collections. It is also a practical tool for collection work, and indicates concrete material that the museum wishes to collect in priority areas. Valuation

The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology does not provide a valuation of items for sale. The museum is a member of ICOM (International Council of Museums) and therefore follows ICOM's ethical regulations, which mean that museums cannot directly or indirectly take part in the purchase and sale of cultural and historical objects. Ref. ICOM's ICOM Code of Ethics for Museum §8.14 and §8.15
