Digital art in the exhibition I/O
Site Visits
The artists Boris Kourtoukov and Amelie Dinh are behind the new digital work in the exhibition I/O.
While we usually experience websites as two-dimensional, the code behind them is three-dimensional and consists of different levels of interwoven elements. In the series Site Visits, the sites are transformed into 3D landscapes, based on their own code structures. These landscapes become the physical and conceptual foundation upon which VR worlds are built to further be used to investigate the cultural aspects of each site.
More about the art collaboration: LOOOOP is an ongoing collaboration between Boris Kourtoukov and Amelie Dinh. By fusing their experiences from creative technology, design and research, they create digitally-created, interactive works that explore the materiality of newly developed technologies in the face of our digital culture's social foundations.
Where: The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology
When: Open every day during the museum's opening hours .
About the art in the exhibition I/O
"In the exhibition I/O, a separate zone has been set up where artists and researchers can present their work. This is one of the elements that will ensure that the exhibition brings its dynamism, contemporary topicality and relevance into the future as well. It will be an arena for discussion and a place where others, from outside the museum, will be able to participate with their knowledge and perspectives."
- Henrik Treimo, project manager for the exhibition I/O
