Quantum computers

New technology in quantum computing is on the horizon. Many have realized that this can change the world, but far fewer know how. At OsloMet, they have acquired the two quantum computers Hugin and Munin so that both researchers and students can become familiar with and explore the computers of the future.

In today's lecture, Professor Sølve Selstø give a simple introduction to quantum information technology, how this technology differs from our digital "ones and zeros" computers, and the possibilities it can open up. Read more about OsloMet's quantum hub here .

2025 has been declared the UN International Year of Quantum. Extra focus will be placed on research and dissemination of the many aspects of quantum physics, including the possibilities that lie in information technology. Read more about the UN Year of Quantum here .
