The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology is participating in the research project Museums and Industry: Long Histories of Collaboration (MaILHoC) , together with partners in the UK, Spain and France. The project aims to investigate the relationship between technical museums and industry related to collaboration, sponsorship and ethical dimensions, both from a historical and contemporary perspective.
The project is led by Science Museum Group London, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Aix-Marseille Université. The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology is an associate partner together with the think tank Demos and the University of London Press. The project will build on a series of case studies and be followed by debates and workshops. At The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology we will link it to the network project Sustainable Energy Narratives .
MaILHoC has been awarded a grant of 600,000 euros for the period 2023-2025 through the call Cultural Heritage, Society and Ethics under the research program Joint Programming Initiative on Cultural Heritage . The program is administered by the French Research Council (ANR). MaILHoC one of six projects among 62 applications that were selected for support. Several research positions have been announced in the project.
