All students get to develop practical skills and experience the joy of creating something with their own hands. In November 2024, the government presented the White Paper "A more practical school - Better learning, motivation and well-being". Research shows that practical teaching strengthens students' motivation, well-being and mental health, and contributes to in-depth learning and better inclusion.
This program is a direct response to the need for more practical learning in Norwegian schools. This program gives students hands-on experience with the entire creative process – from idea to finished product – while building basic craft skills that will be valuable throughout their lives. The program is based on the "one block challenge" developed by the New York Hall of Science.
NB! Please arrive no later than 10 minutes before class. Failure to attend without cancellation 7 days in advance will result in a fee of 500 NOK.

Before the visit Our teaching methods do not require any preparation, but it is always useful to prepare students for a museum visit. Feel free to show pictures or video from the museum, talk about what will happen, and view our digital resources that can be used for pre- and post-work. After the visit Reflect and discuss with the students after the lesson, preferably in groups. |
