DORULL LOVE
You need:
- Two empty dorls
- 3 large straws
This is what you do:
Place two straws on the table and the two cores crosswise on top, about 5 cm apart.
Insert the third straw into the space between the mandrels and blow.
Observe:
- Place dowels further apart. What's up?
- Blow from other directions. Does the same thing happen?
- Place doldrums straight on the table. Try again. What's up?
What is going on?
In the area where you blow, between the mandrels, the air moves faster than it does outside the mandrels. The air pressure drops, and the surrounding air is sucked down between the rollers and towards the center to equalize the pressure.
The wind takes the dorls with it - and then it's just a matter of getting ready for the dorl wedding!
