TECHNICAL MINI MUSEUM

In the fall of 2026, the Technical Mini Museum will open in Oslo, a new universe for children aged 0 to 6. Here, families with toddlers and preschoolers will experience creative indoor activities that combine play and learning.

The Technical MiniMuseum connects toddler play and curiosity to technology and science on the children's own terms. Through a mini-city concept, babies, toddlers and preschoolers can explore, build and discover in a safe and adapted environment.

Here, small houses and different zones await, created for the very youngest. The area is shoe-free and clearly laid out, and everything is adapted for children from 0 to 6 years old – at the right height and pace. Children can play with toy phones, build with blocks and explore rooms of all kinds. They get to try, repair and create on their own – and get up close to real museum objects.

Adapted for families with young children

The Technical MiniMuseum has been developed with the needs of the family in mind. Here you can take breaks and be together in quiet surroundings, with everything the family needs for a good outing. The area has parking for strollers and a shoe-free zone. If you need to warm bottles or baby food, you will find a kitchen for this, and the dining area is equipped with high chairs. There is also a changing table, a private breastfeeding area and toilets for big and small. For the little ones from 0 to 2 years old there is a separate play area.
