Privacy related to the talent centre in science
Personal information stored
We store personal information about our students and their guardians, including name, telephone number, email address, gender, home school, municipality of residence and necessary medical information. Sensitive personal information, such as medical information, is collected and stored to safeguard the student's health and safety while participating in sessions at the talent centre.
Purpose of processing
The purpose of processing is to fulfill our obligations to students, guardians and the students' home schools. Registration of this information is necessary to follow up on students participating in the talent centre, meet their needs and communicate with home schools, guardians and teachers.
Basis for processing
The information about name, address, telephone number and email address is processed to fulfill our responsibility as an extension of the student's school life. The processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation - necessary for the performance of a contract. The information is stored for up to three years.
If consent is provided, the information can also be used to inform about activities, collections, reports to home schools and teachers, as well as communication with the Ministry of Education in your municipality. If consent is given, we can also use purchase history and behavior patterns to provide recommendations and targeted information. The basis for this treatment is Article 6 of the Privacy Regulation (1) (a) consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.
Collection of personal data
We store the personal data provided in the application forms in connection with your application(s) to the talent centre.
Disclosure of information to third parties
We do not share, sell or transfer personal information to third parties unless we are legally obligated to do so.
Storage and deletion of personal data
The information we have received in connection with your application(s) and your participation at the talent centre is stored in our active participant register for up to three years. After three years, the information is deleted.
You are entitled to:
- Access to what personal information we have recorded about you.
- Correcting any incorrect information.
- Deleting information, unless they are necessary to fulfill an agreement.
- Data portability, that is, to be provided with its own information in a structured format.
- To complain to the Data Inspectorate if you believe our treatment is contrary to the rules.
Information security
We secure personal information through both physical and virtual access control.
