Art, music and gaming

On Saturday, October 18, everyone visiting The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology in Oslo can try out assistive technology such as eye control, switch control and graphic drawing support. Here, they can also try making music with their eyes or switches.

The event is a collaboration between Elevkanalen-TV 2 Skole, Digjobb, the SKUG center at the Cultural School in Tromsø, Aurora workshop, Ecura BPA, Nav assistive devices and facilitation, Oslo Adult Education Nydalen, Isaac Norway and several leading assistive device companies.

The SKUG Center (Interaction and Composition Without Borders) at the Cultural School in Tromsø is a resource center for adapted music education. Many of the students play computer-based musical instruments that can be played with eye control, switches or various sensors. At The Norwegian Museum Of Science And Technology visitors can try singing in a vocal group with eye control, joystick, switch and dice roll.

Book presentation: Isabella Tengsareid-Caggiano started a collaboration with Elevkanalen.no during her 10th grade work week. One year later, this has resulted in a children's book about Little Mille that she will present. Isabella uses Tobii with eye tracking when she communicates, and in working on the book, the goal was to help young ASK users and those around them understand the form of communication better.
