She will delve into the rich archives of Hjula Væveri. Here you will find documentation of the industrial operations at Hjulafossen in Sagene throughout the 19th century, complaints from Swedish merchants about the quality of the goods Hjula sold, and letters about working conditions at the factory. Together, these stories tell how industry changed society.

Speaker Tone Rasch is a conservator at The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology and an expert on Norwegian industrial history, with a particular emphasis on the textile industry. She has contributed to and led the development of the museum's Akerselva exhibition, sawmill and wood processing exhibition, plastics exhibition and a number of temporary exhibitions.
