DEXTRA Photo is a photography and artefact collection with a focus on the 20th century. The photographs show various aspects of Norwegian social life and culture, such as industry, transport, art, architecture and landscape.
Key photographers are Knudsens Fotosenter, Teigens Fotoatelier, Sohlberg Foto, Paul A. Røstad and Anders Beer Wilse. The collection has been built up by Arne Knudsen, owner of Knudsen Fotosenter, over the years, and includes approximately 1.8 million photographs, 6,000 photographic technical objects and photographic literature.

Image use
All digitized images can be used free of charge for any purpose in the resolution that can be downloaded from the Digital Museum or the museum's own websites. The user is responsible for complying with obligations such as privacy and the photographer's right to respectful reproduction.

In the event of non-crediting, NOK 1,000 + VAT will be invoiced. per picture.
If you want a higher resolution, we are happy to digitize. Digitization and other image processing are invoiced for each hour started at NOK 850 (+VAT).
