The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology manages large collections related to industry, technology, natural sciences and medicine. The collections are the core of the museum. It is through the collections that the museum conducts research and communicates.

I dag har vi anslagsvis 91.000 gjenstander, 2,65 millioner fotografier, 140.000 bøker og tidsskrifter og 1.270 hyllemeter privatarkiv. Mye av dette materialet er søkbart gjennom Digitalt Museum, biblioteksbasen Oria og Arkivportalen.
