Program

CLIMATE2+

We want your commitment and action for social justice and a safer climate.

The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology invites you to physical and digital events in the exhibition.

The program in klima2+ is based on a supercomputer, a loom, malaria parasites and works by invited artists and activists. They open up questions about climate change and how our way of life, technology and social structure are connected to the vulnerability of other lives.

First up is The Textile Weave, a panel discussion during the opening event on June 24. The discussion was streamed on the museum's Facebook pages .

When you visit the exhibition on weekends and during the holidays, you are also invited to workshops and tours – and throughout the year you will be able to experience activist events around the museum.

We want you to share your thoughts and knowledge, and participate in activities with us. Together, we can expand the ways we understand and act on the climate crisis.

We take infection control seriously, see how here: https://www.tekniskmuseum.no/smittevern

The Norwegian Museum Of Science And Technology 's collections, exhibits and the expertise of its staff are central sites to the focus and contextualisation of the resident's artistic research and production. October: Textile Campaign and Oslo Met Makerspace

In week 43, 2020 The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology 's makerspace will be visited by students from Oslo Met who, together with Tekstilaksjonen, will hold courses for upper secondary school students and families.

Students will pimp up their own shopping bag and laser cut stamps and stencils to print on a garment they have with them and want to freshen up (complete drawing).

If you come to the museum on Saturday, October 24, you can also join a textile printing workshop, see the event on Facebook here .

The Textile Campaign is a collaboration between players in the Norwegian fashion and textile industry and some environmental organizations and recycling initiatives. The campaign works to change attitudes and new practices for a more sustainable production and consumption of textiles.

It is Makerspace at Oslo Met that, together with the students, has developed the workshops.
