CLIMATE2+
klima2+ was opened by Climate and Environment Minister Sveinung Rotevatn on 24 June 2020, at 11.30 am.
The event was also streamed due to the corona situation.
Here you will find an overview of the artworks and artists represented in the exhibition.

The Heat Treatment
Bianca Hlywa's film The Heat Treatment documents conservation workers at the museum, tracking how the process of heat treatment evolved from past practices using toxic insecticides to treat objects.

Visual notes from a changing environment
This photographic work originates in the urban landscape on the outskirts of Oslo, around the enormous area that is Groruddalen. The artist wants to show that large-scale development projects like this do not welcome individual changes, and have the potential to alienate people from nature and eventually from each other.

Soli Statera
The photo book raises questions about what we can all do to make a difference in the climate fight, whether it is growing food for our own consumption or using our consumer power to choose sustainable alternatives.

Tracks 1 & 2
Tracks 1 and 2 are inspired by melting glaciers and soil erosion; natural processes that are occurring today to a greater extent and with greater force than before, as a consequence of human actions and man-made climate change.

Cornwall & Unexpected Findings
The projects reflect on man's need to control and use nature: We have left irrevocable marks on the environment and nature, and changes in animal populations and climate have enormous consequences that are difficult to control.

Take a rest
Reshow is a project of the association Antipodes café and the installation "Take a rest" presents varied remains from exhibitions in the Oslo area.
All materials are readily available for reuse in non-commercial cultural initiatives via www.reshow.no
Please, take a break!

The Academy of Arts in Oslo
The Khio students made an assignment about the Klima2+ exhibition. Pictured: The waterfall, Vega Drake C.
Karin Knott, designer for the exhibition klima2+, teaches at the Oslo Academy of the Arts.
In January 2021, she held a one-week course for her students: Here you can see a selection of the students' work throughout the course, click on the plus sign below.
We have had great pleasure in studying the proposals for new elements and angles in klima2+.
"Climate" in the museum's environment
The course explores various current exhibition approaches of the topic "climate" in the Oslo museum's environment. Based on analysis and reflection on the different institutional approaches, each student is required to create and present an individual concept and design adding to the current exhibition "klima2+" at the The The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology .
